Cannibalism is immoral and wrong; Jane may be thinking that she is being selfless by donating her muscles to be used as food but the negative outcomes out way the positive consequences. Some cultures may view each act as both promoting cannibalism. The result is that the two acts can be perceived as the same thing because they each involve in taking foreign body parts to receive benefits whether it being by mouth or as a surgical procedure. Organ donation will keep someone else alive and allow for proper organ functioning. It is accepted in society and is deemed as being an act of selflessness and morally correct, whereas eating someone else’s human flesh is wrong and disrespectful to the human body. Cannibalism is psychologically disturbing, it can lead to a rise in crime and psychopathic behaviours. Death should not result to being the quick fix for food, Jane is supporting this by donating her muscles to be eaten by homeless people. The thought of eating another human being’s flesh and enjoying it is sickening. This could cause a rise for cannibalistic acts, homeless people will cause harm to or murder other human beings if they are in starvation mode.
