She lived with Mamma and Pappa elephant and she was taught to be nice to people all the time, even if people weren't nice back.
Eli was very sad, she just wanted a friend. Anyone would do Eli just so badly wanted to be liked by people.
Even though Eli was super nice to people she hated going to school. “Mamma do I really have to go to Kingdom School?” she asked. “You will never graduate if you miss hunny,” replied Momma. “But I’m only in the seventh grade it's not that important.” she spoke, but momma would have none of that funny business.

In fact you could say it was the exact opposite. The kingdom school for seventh graders has three kids who were two year older than all the other kids.
Since they were two years older, they were the cool kids on campus. The names of the cool kids were Jared the Jagare, Madison the Moose, and Gina the Giraffe.
So that day Eli had tripped and fell into Madison. Madison got mad so she told Jarred and Gina to come help beat up Eli. Jared at first didn't come, What the heck Eli thought he doesn't want to beat me up. Just as Eli thought that Jarred came up and threw the first punch. He hit her, kicked her, and punched her.
Eli did not hit back because she was taught that even if people are mean to you don't be mean to them. When the fight was finally over she ran like a deer in headlights all the way home

Meanwhile, Mamma was on her way to the school. She ended up taking three trips to the school. She was going to talk to the principal about what had happened to her daughter. While mamma was at the school. Jared had snuck out. Jared had a big crush on Eli and one day was going to walk home with her but instead just followed her home. So he knew where she lived he went to her house and knocked on the door.
Pappa answered “who are you?” “My name is Jared, I was wondering if I could talk to your daughter,” he asked. Pappa saw that he looked really worried and let him. “She's in her room,” Pappa replied. Jared walked up stairs and knocked on the door
“Pappa I don’t want to talk really want to talk right now,” she stated to the knock. “It's me Jared, can I Talk to you,” “Okay come in,” she replied. Jared was so elated that Eli was going to talk to him. Before he walked in he was jumping up and

Darren was convicted of assault on two different men six months after Eli’s birth and spent a year and a half before being released on parole. Within a month of returning home Darren began abusing Eli. Eli was now two years old and during a visit to his grandmother’s home only four months after Darren’s return, Eli appeared to have lost ten pounds and could barely walk. Upon further examination by Eli’s grandmother discovered he had multiple bruises and even apparent cigarette burn all over his body. She pleaded with them to take the boy to a doctor or leave him with her so she could do so. Both Mary and Darren refused and instead went back to their own home. The grandmother called child protective services and a case worker and police officer went to the Creekmore home to investigate. The case worker had Eli taken to the emergency room where Dr Peter Milliken treated him. Dr Milliken stated in a police report that the child’s…

The strong sons wanted to get rid of their fathers because they were a great burden on them, due to their weakness and sickness. The sons abandoned their fathers just to be able to survive, “his son had seen him losing ground, sliding back to the rear of the column...And he had continued to run in front, letting the distance between them become greater”(91). This shows how the son of Rabbi Eliahu had abandoned him because he was sick and by staying with his father that would “diminish his own chance for survival”(91). Elie's feelings towards his dad changed very much. This change is shown in the following quotes, “ ...if I felt anger at that moment, it was not directed at the Kapo but my father. Why couldn't he have avoided Idek's wrath?...I knew he was running out of strength, close to death, and yet I abandoned him...If only I didn't find him! If only I was relieved of this responsibility, I could use all my strength to fight for my own survival, to take care only of myself... The officer wielded his club and dealt him a violent blow to the head... I was afraid, my body was afraid of another blow, this time to my head”(54-106) Elie's feelings and thoughts towards his dad changed very much. At the beginning of the book, Elie's main goal was to stay with his dad, but as more days went by in the camps, his feelings towards his dad…
