Brizo for the rest of their days. They did this by using the power of the wind to move water and create colossal waves that would shipwreck anyone that went to sea. Brito started to notice that more and more sailors and fishermen called on her to save them, and she became suspicious. Once she started inquiring, she found that it was Eurus that was behind it and went to his place of refuge to convince him to stop. This only encouraged Eurus that much more. Since this greatly upset Brizo, Eurus became enraged and began a battle with these three wind gods that still is occurring to this day. Eurus, being the wind god that he is, was a difficult opponent to Oceanus.
Especially since he had the assistance of Notus and Zephyrus so with much pondering and careful consideration Oceanus knew that he must destroy Eurus’s allies before he could defeat Eurus himself. So he conducted a plan, he used the ocean to make mass amounts of waves and sent them directly into the wind causing the wind to either become trapped under and slowly dissipate, or the water would return back upon the god that sent it with even more ferocity. Notus was the first to fall, his wind became engulfed by the crashing waves and he eventually lost all the wind in the south making him powerless and he never returned again. Zephyrus, having seen Notus horrific loss in battle, knew Oceanus’s plan and prepared accordingly. Zephyrus, sent his wind away from Oceanus and instead of it hitting his wave the wind grew with momentum rapped around the ocean and pushed the wave with even more velocity, it then hit Oceanus and he became enraged and
retreated. After healing his wounds, Oceanus decided to use Zephyrus’s wind against him by twirling the water in a spinning vortex. The air was entangled in the force of the vortex and it decreased in power, until all wind was drained into the vortex, never to be used against Oceanus again. Zephyrus became so emotional that he threw himself at Oceanus. But, Oceanus was expecting this sort of reaction and countered, throwing Zephyrus into this mass whirlpool to drown to the bottom of the ocean, and presumably to his demise. With both his allies defeated Eurus stopped trying to destroy Oceanus and he knew that he could never win Brizo back, so instead he decided to always be a reminder. Always be the thorn in Oceanus’s side that just pestered him. Eurus realized that if he were to only attack every so often, Oceanus would never be able to find, and truly defeat him. So Oceanus, and his bride Brizo now live on, with the pain of Eurus always as a reminder that he will never forget.
