Staff welfare in the departments I am usually working with is of a very high standard. All jobs that are to be completed by staff is risk assessed and rechecked every year to make sure all tasks are as safe and harmless as possible, with engineering on site carrying out any changes necessary. They are also re-assessed when any new rules or laws are made, with onsite changes in effect before the law is changed to keep current. All changes are made by the training department in conjunction with health and safety and engineering where necessary. Training method statements are and all staff is trained with all jobs asked of them with records kept. We also have an onsite Occupational Health nurse who conducts yearly tests of night workers in line with their health rights and hearing/eye tests for all employees. Discounted safety spectacles are available from Specsavers if necessary. The company gives time off for family grievances and other domestic problems to help balance the home/work
