Event Design Group Report

Executive summary
To hold an impressive event, an appropriate venue is significant to the overall success or failure of the event and should match the theme (Yeoman, 2012). In this report, according to the characteristics of wine tasting, three places were selected as the possible venues. The first is Chalet which used to be The Hut. Another venue is
Yuan Lu Wine Lounge situated in the heart of downtown Shanghai which is special for wine activities. The Westin Bund Centre, Shanghai is the third choice for wine tasting. Westin is Shanghai 's most iconic hotel which has built a strong reputation for having hosted high-profile events such as banquet and conferences (Westin Shanghai,
2013). The purpose of this report is to find the best venue among Chalet, Yuan Lu and
Westin through four aspects: technical specification, logistics, creative vision and design layout. Besides, it will analyse and evaluate the above three venues; thereby, an appropriate venue will be selected for holding a wine tasting for wine lovers. In technical specification, aesthetics and function will be compared. Access, safety, food and equipment will be mentioned in logistics. Creative vision such as decoration in different venues and design layout which includes the capacity, audience flow will be assessed in these three venues to choose which one is the most suitable for this wine tasting. Finally, some recommendations such as first aid methods to deal with emergencies, guidance for parking area and good English communication skills will be given as well.

I came into this scene when I went to reave called “Awakening” in 2008.After I attended this rave with some friends I decided I wanted to experience more of the rave scene and so I did. This so called rave scene has its own culture and community. When you become part of the scene you start to notice fellow ravers start speaking about P.L.U.R. which sounds like a mission statement. What it stands for is peace, love, unity, and respect. When you go to raves you can tell ravers follow this so called mission statement because they are friendly, giving, and helpful with whatever you need. Another thing I liked when I went to raves was when ravers were switching kandi with other fellow ravers. Kandi is a bracelet made out of beads. These bracelets are a symbol of unity between one another.…

Direct export access to China used to be difficult due to the complexity and slowness of the country 's customs rules and regulations. But with the relaxation in regulatory restrictions and the opening of its markets to foreign investors, China could become the next successful market for cognac and champagne importers. The elimination of tariffs in the wake of China 's accession to the World Trade Organization may encourage more cognac and champagne importers to the mainland, thereby skewing cognac/champagne import statistics in the near future. Last year, China ranked 20th in terms of cognac imports, with 1.2 million bottles (Export.gov). Since China became a member of the World Trade Organization, there are less technical and tax obstacles for imports. The Chinese people now have stronger buying power. This paper details a risk analysis on China and discusses how a division of LVMH plans to manage these risks.…

With its booming economy and ever-growing market, China is expected to become the most popular MICE destination worldwide in the future. China possesses the attractive combination of rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and one of the world's fastest growing economies. Most renown international hotel chains have set up facilities in the major MICE destinations Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, as well as in less-known locations, such as Xi'an, Guilin, and even the tropical island Hainan in the south of China. The country has the additional advantage of world-class service at relatively inexpensive rates. As the host of big international events like the Beijing Olympics Games 2008 and the Shanghai World Expo 2010, China is home to a wealth of new opportunities.…
