I came into this scene when I went to reave called “Awakening” in 2008.After I attended this rave with some friends I decided I wanted to experience more of the rave scene and so I did. This so called rave scene has its own culture and community. When you become part of the scene you start to notice fellow ravers start speaking about P.L.U.R. which sounds like a mission statement. What it stands for is peace, love, unity, and respect. When you go to raves you can tell ravers follow this so called mission statement because they are friendly, giving, and helpful with whatever you need. Another thing I liked when I went to raves was when ravers were switching kandi with other fellow ravers. Kandi is a bracelet made out of beads. These bracelets are a symbol of unity between one another.…

Whether an event involves 10 people or 10,000 the process remains identical to all events. There are 3 main steps that are part of the process: Planning, Implementation and Evaluation. Before an event can be planned a concept needs to be identified. With increased regulations and government involvement in events, the environment of which events are staged has become much more complicated. Stakeholders have to be identified and their needs and objectives to be met. A stakeholder is an individual or organization who has an interest in an event. The chief stakeholder is the host organization. This could be a local government staging an annual event. It also could be a corporate organization that is staging an event to raise their profile or promote goods or services. The community participating is also vital.…

If the goal is to obtain finance for a particular event then corporate sponsorship is an option. This would give the event manager cash, goods or services in exchange for corporate advertising. All of these options for raising funds would help the business in future growth.…
