A child with dyslexia has difficulty in acquiring literacy skills, a pupil with dyscalculia needs support with numeracy skills and a child with dyspraxia has difficulty with the way the brain processes information which affects the co-ordination of movement. Bereavement and loss
Losing a loved one or pet can have a great impact on emotional and physical health. Children/ young people may find it hard to cope with the grief and this may affect their well-being.
Religious beliefs and customs
Children may be excluded from settings due to religious beliefs eg parents who follow the rules of the Exclusive Bretheren do not allow their children to attend assemblies and they have to sit apart to eat their lunch. Or they may be excluded in order to attend specific settings due to their religious beliefs and customs, therefore, the children may miss out on some activities and this might have a negative impact on their lives.
Ethnic beliefs
The celebration of different cultures is something that the majority of people in Britian today accept and welcome. Many people, especially in the field of education, know that it is important for
