Everything Comes To Him Who Waits

If there would be someone impatient would ask for my words of wisdom, these are the words I would say: everything is possible if you believe, if you pray for it, if you work for it and if you really mean it, then why think negative and act too impatient? For all things are possible if just God really permits it. Faith without work is dead, the bible says. There’s simple Filipino story and everybody in this room might have heard it. The story of Juan Tamad. This guy craves for something and didn’t move to have it though the guava was within his reach. He just waited and waited for it to fall into his hands. Well, expecting something from nothing is impossible. I mean to wait is to work. How could you sit back and relax when you have the wish in your heart? There’s a saying, “do your best and let God do the rest.” Most Filipinos are just expecting to receive something from their dead faith. Dead faith means, having faith without work. Resulting, disappointments and sometimes unbelief. When a person hoped for something and was disappointed, it’s more likely that he would forget God’s reasons in giving him his disappointment. If the thing you hope for is really for you, it will come at the right time. You just have to wait. If it didn’t, it wasn’t for you. God has his reasons for doing so and we knew that it’s always for the

Dr. Frankl elaborates on the psychological motives of both prisoners and himself in his novel A Man’s Search for Meaning. He starts by explaining, “It is easy for the outsider to get the wrong conception for camp life, a conception mingled with sentiment and pity. Little does he know the hard fight for existence which raged among prisoners” (22). Frankl gives insight on how difficult it was to live, but also to survive in the conditions of the camp. It shows how the men begin focus on merely surviving in such an environment, almost succumbing to their animalistic nature. He begins by recalling how after getting off the train that had brought them to the death camp, the men and women were stripped from their belongings and then separated into two lines were a man who would either point left or right. One way was the direction to the crematories, the other to a cleansing station.…

Part ONE-Evangelistic Method #1- The intellectual method I chose was Four Spiritual Laws. I found a pamphlet by Bill Bright, which stated in plain English the four laws, God loves you, Man is sinful, and Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin. And, we must individually receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This method would be great to use in any setting, weather believer or non-believer. It further shows how much God loves us, by sending His only son. This method does not pressure the person, encourages the person to look inside of themselves and understand their need for what God is offering. It’s not forcing the person, it invites, and that is the advantage…

Some people may say I'm not as optimistic as others, I think it's how you look at me. I'm not one to jump at any challenge, but if I think it will be worth it in the end I will try my hardest. To try to change this theory in others, how they look at things, is a little harder. People get set in their ways and get lazy. In fact this generation is set in their way of thinking, because it seems everything is just handed to them.…

For example, I saw many people around me who suffered from diseases such as cancer. Personally, I don’t understand completely how it feels to live time-limited life, but I am sure that they all experienced a lot of hardships when they first found out about their diseases. However, there were people who believed in themselves who thought in a positive way that they can be and will be cured soon in the future and saw miracles happening in their lives. If they didn’t believe in themselves and thought they cannot be cured, miracles would never happened in their lives. It is very important to not give up if they fail at first try because it requires time and effort in order for good things and miracles to happen. I learned from them that there is nothing impossible if people believe in themselves and keep try until they reach their…

Life was meant to be exciting, but fear imprisons us with warnings of, “Better be careful. Better take it easy. Don’t get your hopes up.” Well what good are hopes that are down? Low hopes never helped anyone achieve anything. I say let your hopes rise to the sky, and never let them falter. If we view everything with hesitancy, we will always be afraid to move forward, because there are no guarantees about anything. But how much better, at the end of life to be able to say, “I tried.” If you tried, you did not fail. The only real failure is not making an effort to make your dreams come true.…
