Evidence Of The Beringia Theory
I believe that the Beringia Theory is the most logical because the evidence supports this theory and it makes the most sense. The Beringia Theory describes a land bridge being exposed after water levels dropped. The land bridge connected Siberia to Alaska, which made it possible for the hunters and animals to cross. It is natural for most animals to migrate; therefore, they would have most likely migrated there by themselves, with hunters following them.

The Buy American Act was first signed into law by President Roosevelt in 1933. The act was established to protect the jobs of Americans by requiring the United States government to use materials manufactured within the United States whenever possible. In recent months President Obama has released a proposal to make provisions to the current Buy American Act. These provisions would put tighter restrictions on the use of imported materials in all U.S. manufacturing. With the threat of tighter restrictions comes the threat of a complete ban on the use of imported materials in all government and commercial manufacturing. If there ever were to be a ban on all imported materials most companies would suffer in a multitude of ways. There is however, one particular company that would thrive, albeit at expense of an immense number of consumers, companies, and taxpayers. Brush Wellman is a company that manufactures a multitude of products, but the material they produce that would cause the above to happen is a material called Beryllium. Beryllium is a high-melting, lightweight, corrosion-resistant, rigid, steel-gray metallic element that is used in the manufacturing of everything from satellites to commercial x-ray machines. Because Brush Wellman is the only miner and manufacturer of Beryllium in the United States, a ban on all imported materials would put them in the position of becoming a monopoly, due to no fault or misconduct of their own. Brush Wellman would essentially control the market. Although there would be certain benefits to banning the use of imported materials in U.S. manufacturing, in the case of Beryllium, the negative consequences would far outweigh the benefits.…

The first piece of evidence that supports the land bridge theory or the Clovis theory is that during the ice age in the Pleistoraene Era, the sea levels would have been lower in the Bering sea (Lebel & Orr). Because or the low sea levels there could have been a grassy plain known as Beringia linking Siberia with Alaska (Lebel & Orr). This evidence suggests that there would have been a path in which the first peoples could have traveled by. The distance would have only been seventy kilometers apart.…

By evaluating the human remains, artifacts, and some other archaeological evidence, the scientists have believed that the First Peoples arrived during the last Ice Age, or Pleistocene era , via the Bering Land Bridge. Based on geological evidence, similar fossils discovered on both continents prove that large grazing animals such as bison, caribou, horses, mammoths, and musk oxen migrated across this vast terrain for much of the last Ice Age, historians have believed that the First Peoples were big game hunters due to the size and shape of stone projectile points that have been found out, so it is possible that the hunter families followed these animals migrated across the plains, either on foot or on boat. Therefore, I agree with the idea that humans may have first entered Americas via a land route. It is the most commonly acknowledged theory and most plausible one.…

The Asian hunters came to America for countless amounts of reasons and not all of them had the same reasons. One reason these hunters might have come to the Americas is because many of them might have thought that they could have gotten a better life than what they had gotten where they lived. Another reason they might have come to the Americas is because the number of animals at the area they lived were decreasing because of the other hunters in that area not giving other hunters opportunity to kill animals so they would have a good food source. Speaking of food source people's food supply got decreased because of the ice age so it was harder to survive because of the cold weather conditions and the lack…

The Pleistocene faced massive evolutions and changes. The Bering land bridge helped large species such as the mammoth, bison, deer and all their relatives to cross over to the Americas. The ancestors of the human species made its big appearance, but most importantly there was the catastrophic extinction event of many species near the end of the Quaternary period. The event had a great effect on the species roaming on Earth. The Quaternary extinction event was caused by factors such as global climate fluctuations which pushed many to adaptation and others to extinction. It’s also plausible that hunters contributed to the Quaternary extinction by causing local extinctions. After the last ice age, the ecosystem was greatly impacted and a new diversity…
