The Big Bang The Creation

The Big Bang: * 15 billion years ago, universe created in explosion * 5 billion years ago, Earth was created * Beginning Earth was hot, molten spinning ball, as it became cooler, it became more and more solid * No water on surface, and atmosphere wasn’t formed * Evidence: 1. Universe still expanding 2. Space full of cosmic radiation 3. Hydrogen & HeliumMost common elements in universe 4. New starsborn, Old starsdie
The oceans: * 5 oceansAtlantic, Indian, Pacific and Southern * Developed when earths temp. dropped under 100°c * They are salty because minerals are dissolved in water * Oceans dissolve 40%-50% of carbon dioxide produced by burning fossil fuels * Plants in ocean preform photosynthesis and make sure there is enough oxygen
Development of living world: * Paleontology science which studies fossils * FossilsPreserved Old traces, remains of living organisms from the past * Earth’s eras (4) 1. PRECAMBRIAN ERA * 4.5 billion-570 mil * Earth, oceans were created, earth cooled down, atmosphere started to form * Algae & bacteriafirst life * Corals, sponges & snailsfirst animals 2. PALEOZOIC ERA * 570 mil-225 mil * Beginningonly sea animals & plants * Laterfirst fish, amphibians, early reptiles & giant insects, first land animals & plants

3. MESOZOIC ERA * 225 mil-65 mil * Dinosaurs, first mammals and birds, pine trees and ferns, first traces of flowering plants 4. CENOZOIC ERA * 65 mil-now * Development of birds and mammals (first traces), flowering plants developed, traces of man * ‘’Mammals era’’
Microbiology
Viruses: * Reproduce (x)=Replicate (√) * Viruses are organisms on the border of living and non-living

From my Blast results the most similar gene sequence to the gene of interest was taeniopugia guttata that had a max score of 2313 and an Ident % of 100. As well as it had an e-value of 0, which means that it’s closely related to the gene of interest. This species is located on the birds’ branch on the cladogram because it has features of a bird. From my data collected of Gene sequence the second most related gene sequence was from meleagris gallopavo . It had amax score of 1781 and an 92% Ident and an e-value of 0.…

    1. What was Earth like in its infancy? How does it compare with the Earth today? In the very beginning of earth's history, this planet was a giant, red hot, roiling, boiling sea of molten rock - a magma ocean. The heat had been generated by the repeated high speed collisions of much smaller bodies of space rocks that continually clumped together as they collided to form this planet. As the collisions tapered off the earth, it began to cool, forming a thin crust on its surface. As the cooling continued, water vapor began to escape and condense in the earth's early atmosphere. Clouds formed and storms raged, raining more and more water down on the primitive earth, cooling the surface further until it was flooded with water, forming the seas. Today the earth is full of life and water and rain there is no longer molten rocks flowing and there is no dangerous vapor in the clouds, today earth is life friendly.…

This is further backed up by the ‘Big Bang’ theory. The Big Bang theory is the idea that at one point, our universe was a small bubble, thousands of times hotter, than it is today. Then it exploded and all time space and matter began. The Universe that we know was born.…

In relation to richness in different life forms, Earth consists of about, or more than, 1.5 million different types of life forms. This proves the hypothesis of, “How present day forms of life arose from other forms of life over a considerable amount of time. As a result, biodiversity has increased throughout Earth’s history.” Another evidentiary fact is the “Lab22DiversityInTheFossilRecordData.xlsx,” which explains, and demonstrates different organisms that were discovered, and were given an estimated time they were living. A family by the name of “Tachyglossidae,” has been logged in the fossil record as supposedly living from seven million years ago, and last seen 100 years ago, were it had credibly been assumed as extinct.…

    Age of the Universe

    • 1855 Words
    • 8 Pages

The age of the earth is approximately 4.54 billion years old, about 9.21 years after the universe was formed. The main theory of how the earth was formed is the Big Bang Theory, or a star explosion. Some also call is a supernova. This happens in the universe when the wreckage from an explosion crashed into a cloud of gas, bringing in the ingredients for our solar system. The formation of our sun came first from the collapse of a solar nebula. After about ten to twenty million years after this collapse, dust then clustered to grains, to lumps, to boulders, to planetesimas. Soon it became chunks of rock big enough to have their own gravitational field. So, some plantesimals became the embryonic form of planets in our solar system today.…
