As a species continues to reproduce over long periods of time, they being to change physically, otherwise known as evolution. Evolution is a theory in which organisms change over time and become either better or more complex. (

) Charles Darwin, the Father of the Theory of Evolution, discovered that similar birds had adopted different beaks (finches

). And thus, the theory of evolution, already placed in Darwins head by his grandfather, (

) had been further proven. The French biologist JeanBaptiste Lamarck, however, believed that any disfigurement, abnormality, or scar a person had would be passed on to their child.(

This is obviously not true, as in, a person who had lost a limb and conceived a child, said child would not have the same handicap.
Evolution is shown through the following ways; paleontology, evolutionary biology, developmental biology, and physical anthropology. Paleontology is the study of fossils. (

The study of fossils is helpful to know in understanding evolution, as it teaches us about our past, including common ancestors. Evolutionary biology deals with the study of changes in organisms in a population. (

) This will help with the analysis in similar (vestigial) structures in organisms, homologous structures, and population genetics. Developmental biology mainly studies an embryo, once fertilized, through growth. The comparison between embryos is most helpful in this situation due to the fact there are many similarities between embryos as they develope. The study of physical anthropology literally means; the study of man. (

) While yes, this is physical anthropology, there is much more, such as the study of physical development, genetics, and behavioural ecology.
Through paleontology we can conclude that change most definitely did happen. (
