1. Activity 1 – PERT Model
The Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) is a network analysis technique which is used to estimate project duration when there is a high degree of uncertainty about the individual activity duration estimates (Schwalbe 2013). PERT is an ‘event-oriented’ technique which uses arrow diagram to identify critical activities that need to be completed in order to finish the project. Besides, PERT also uses statistical distribution to provide probabilistic estimate of project duration derived from three estimates listed below (Marchewka 2010).
