When I first began oral communications, the speech I was most excited to give was the interview speech. This is because I knew exactly who I wanted to do and that it would be interesting to get to ask him about his life. In my last speech, I had some struggles and didn’t perform in a way that I strive for. This motivated me to practice my skills more and get better. Just this past week I decided I would give the sport of wrestling a shot. In the past, I have participated in basketball. In the year of 2008 my dad was diagnosed with cancer of his thyroid. My whole family was devastated. It was then when I began to recollect everything I had learned from my faith in god. I prayed that my dad would be recover and live to see his grandchildren. All I know is that my dad did recover and went through his treatments the cancer was gone. Over the past years of my life there has always been an important person who has impacted me in many different ways. Through his hard work, determination, and love for family, he has set an example for me to follow and has shaped me into the person I am today.
