Example Of A Narrative About Fishing
Narrative-
On 7Mar17 at 1317 hrs. I, Deputy Halbasch, was asked to speak with Shane Wagner, who was reporting the theft of fishing equipment from his truck.

Shane informed me he contacted his insurance company & they requested a police report. Shane stated on 4Mar17 he arrived at Backwoods Bar & Grill between 1930 – 2000 hrs. for dinner after ice fishing. Shane stated when he departed the bar, he found that someone stole all of his ice fishing equipment out of the back of his 2014 Ford Super Duty. Shane stated he was parked on the south side of the bar & grill building & did not observe anyone around the truck while he was inside the establishment.

Shane informed me he has a topper on his truck, bearing MN registration of YBM7848, and there were no signs of tampering or forced entry into the back of the truck. Shane stated the topper was not locked, and anyone could have assessed it. Shane stated he spoke with Alicia Schummer, owner of Backwoods Bar & Grill, & learned that there were/are no security cameras on that side of the building.

Shane informed me he didn’t have any serial numbers for any of the items, nor were they identified with any special markings, but stated he was now missing:

Clam brand portable fish house – slip over cover – 2 seater – blue canvas.

Alicia stated there were no cameras on that side of the building, and she did not observe any person or vehicle move to that side of the building or carry any items matching the description of Shane’s property. Alicia informed me she overheard some 3rd party patrons stated they observed two parties between the bar & Lake Plantagenet picking up items from the ditch as it appeared they came out of the Ranger (side-by-side ATV). Alicia stated she did not know if it was Shane with someone, or two separate persons, but thought it was strange when she knew Shane’s items were missing & these persons were seen gathering
