I believe trust is established through action and remaining consistent in all that I say and do, while being relatable. In order for a leader to establish trust he or she must demonstrate transparency by communicating in a timely manner. As a transformational leader, in order to create involvement and participation, Schein (1994 ) discusses how a leader must be able to not only be able to lead, but; also to listen, to involve the group in achieving its own insight into its cultural dilemmas, and to be genuinely participative in his or her approach to learning and change,…

The basis for developing and maintaining trust lies on building a rapport with your colleagues, which relies on both parties having mutual respect, and a level of empathy existing between individuals. These characteristics will lead to a certain amount of benevolence between colleagues and this is underpinned by the ability to express genuineness and the capability or capacity to be yourself consistently. When a manager combines these traits and promotes openness throughout the team, it will support the growth and balance of an effective team. Ensuring that trust is maintained within the team promotes independent working but also encourages interdependence amongst team members.…

Trust- Trust is the make or break between a relationship with someone and something. If you trust someone you have confidence that the person will do anything you tell him to do or what he says he will do. Trust doesn’t just happen; you must build trust with anything or anyone you encounter. How you build trust is never fail at something someone tells you to do. You can also lose trust with something or someone. For example, if lcpl Smith’s Cpl told him he wanted Lcpl Smith to PT after work because Lcpl Smith is having a hard time while on platoon runs and after 2 weeks Lcpl Smith still hasn’t gotten any better the Cpl knows that Lcpl Smith failed him then lost trust with his Marine. Another example would be when a kid is learning to ride a bike and keeps falling off the bike the kid will lose trust in himself that he can learn to ride his bike.…

In the novel, “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck there was a strong bond between almost every character. For example George and Lennie were best buddies even if they went too far sometimes. But they would always have each other along each side. But both had lies happening through each others backs. So this all campares to the meaning of trusting is good but not trusting is much better.…

The practice article I read was Criminal Background Policy Checkup by Gary Siniscalo, Erin M. Connell, and Alexandra Stathopoulos. The authors discuss the matter of a catch-22 within the hiring process of using background checks as a selection method. Being unemployed and staying unemployed is a revolving door for most applicants who have a past criminal record. Often employers see the record on the background check and choose not to hire the applicant. The people being affected most by this backwards policy are the blacks and Hispanics who simultaneously comprise the highest percentage of unemployed and who hold criminal records.…

Trust is a very valuable thing is one’s life. Without trust, it is next to impossible to go through life. Graham Green happens to agree with this as she had once said, “… it is impossible o go through life without trust…” One can interpret this quote as trust being an essential aspect to life and in order to go through it, there must be someone or something a person can put his or her faith in. Two works of literature that reflect this quote are The Fault in Our Stars by John Greene and A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry.…

Trust is earned when people are working in teams and should not be assumed to exist automatically. All the members should make efforts in their activities to create trust. The leaders as well as the subjects need to work towards enhancing trust among each other. People should not assume trust when working in teams. Goals should be set to achieve certain levels of trust. Team members should have a well set procedure and regulations to act as a guide towards enhancing trust (Flores & Solomon 2003).…

Trust is one of those things that are nice to have, but really is not needed. The statement “It is impossible to go through life without trust” by Graham Greene, may not be entirely correct. Our group disagrees with the statement. There are many times that trust just is not an option. A Streetcar Named Desire and The Crucible are a very good example of how an individual could be lacking trust.…

Trust is the very thing that everybody in this world desires, or at least should desire from one another. Who wants to have a friendship or relationship without trust? Nobody does. Without trust, there is no friendship, and without friendship, there is no love. I believe that trust is an even greater compliment than to be loved! I believe George Macdonald said it best when he stated "To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved." When I read this quote for the first time, I thought to myself, "Wow that is so true. How can you be loved if you are not trusted first?"…
