Topic Area: Threat of Kayani’s Council in the Indian Subcontinent
The last 10 years have seen drastic changes in Asia. The economies of the countries are booming up like never before. The countries have undergone a lot of development. This has led to an increase not only in the economies but also in the fields of science and technology. The military forces, also, have been strengthened to a great extent. Corruption too has seen a drastic downfall. The South Asian Free Trading Agreement is highly effective treaty that has led to the economic boost of many of the countries. Most importantly, India and Pakistan have finally agreed to come to terms with one another via the Project Dosti which will allow free movement and trade between the two countries. We feel that all parts of Kashmir (Indian, Pakistani and Chinese) should form one autonomous body with one constitution and parliament. However, there yet exist some anti-social elements like the “Kayani’s Council” which believe that peace can never exist between India and Pakistan.
Our views on the Kayani’s Council
The Kayani’s Council headed by the so called “most anti-India human”, retired general Ashfaq Parvez Kayani is probably one of the most dangerous group of people.
South Africa completely agrees with the United States by deeming the Kayani’s Council as a terrorist organization. Though some countries may feel that the threats of the council are false, risking the lives of thousands of people is too much of a sacrifice and the countries doing so would be disrespecting the dignity of the people who are being threatened.
We believe that an end should be put to the Council as their presence poses a huge threat not only to India and Pakistan, but also to the rest of the world.
The SAARC knows that the Council is building an extremely strong army which could completely destroy
