In the famous book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, one of the characters is Atticus Finch. The book takes place during the Great Depression which was hard for African Americans. Atticus Finch is very responsible, a courageous man, and a stern person.
A word to describe Atticus Finch would be responsible. His wife died when Jem was six years old and Scout was two years old. Even though he is a single father, he tries to balance being there for his kids and being a lawyer. He tries teaching Jemd and Scout morals and not to be judgmental.
