Examples Of Atticus Parenting

Atticus approach to parenting when you first start reading the book, seems like a mean and rude parent. But as you keep reading and learn from what time period his kids grow up in and what type of town the live. Which his way of parenting makes his kids understand how life goes around Maycomb, Alabama. If he didnt parent with the “love, hate” relationship they would have a tough time when they hear all of the hateful and rude comments made about others around town. It might not seem like it but Atticus has a very loving relationship to his children. He just doesn't want to show it to them and others. He loves them but is very distance. Atticus believes the best way to teach his children is to lead by an example. You can tell that Atticus is one of the children's best friends because the children call their dad by his real name, Atticus. He is always there for his children even though people don’t think that. He always read the evening paper every day with his daughter Scout.
Because he always working to provide to his family. The only female at the beginning of the story is the negro housekeeper Calpurnia, who only comes during the day. But later in the story their Aunt Alexandra comes and stay with the Finch family when the trail is starting. Which that buts a feminine role model in the childrens life but it kind to late, to teach Scout how to act like a lady. Not one of the children listen to their Aunt because they're not used to dressing fancy or having very ‘city like’ rules. Which that makes the children dislike there only feminine role
