Examples Of Creativity Occurs In Solitude
As stated by Dr. Brenda Smith, “Creativity occurs in solitude”. This statement seems relative to the person. As Dr. Carl Jung coined, there are extroverts and there are introverts. Extroverts “refuel” in social places, surrounded by others whereas introverts recharge alone in solitude. Taking these two personality traits into context, extroverts go against Dr. Brenda Smith’s statement. If extroverts are at their best while surrounded by their peers, then it can be said that their creativity is augmented when they are anywhere but in solitude. For instance, think tanks and board meetings are based around creativity in social places.
Solitude, however, is probably where the majority of creativity is spired. A multitude of discoveries were made

When looking at leadership from a trait approach, several solid characteristics exist. One of those characteristics is personality. Personality is important especially in the work place and can set the tone of the environment. For example, if a manager/leader has a positive attitude and approach to employees during a situation then the outcome will be positive. When employees are happy and working in positive atmosphere achievements and goals are accomplished. An additional strength of the trait approach is that the approach provides a deep understanding of what makes an individual successful as a leader. This will help future theorists because he or she will have a list of traits that predict leadership.…

Many can suggest their own interpretation of what creativity is and where it may come from. Creativity is thought to be a gifted skill that only certain people can possess however; others disagree and instead believe that creativity can be developed through everyday life. Maxine Tynes in the personal essay I am Tynes explains what creativity is in her own words. Maxine states that creativity is not something that is “chosen” but instead is sculpted throughout life, love, thought and feeling. I personally agree with Maxine Tynes because truthfully, if one can set their mind on something while devoting themselves to it with passion and reason, anyone can have the ability to succeed in something they once thought was impossible. Not all writers went through university or college or were born an English writing prodigy in order to receive the credentials of becoming a creative and successful writer; true successful writers are born from the very same raw and free-spirited urge to write. Maxine is a perfect example of a creative and free spirited writer- a writer who does not think about their thoughts before writing it on paper. In this essay, you will explore Maxine’s main inspirations that contribute to her self-defined creativity found within her poetry.…

Creativity is a talent and a gift we are born with in the absence of severe cognitive deficits. I believe that there are two fundamental ways of expressing creativity: One is the actual use of imagination, inventing, experimenting with ideas born out of imagination, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes; learning from mistakes and having fun. The other way is to create an environment in which others can freely express their creative energies and I in turn, learn from their experiences.…

One of the authors that talk about this is S.I Hayakawa. His main point in his article is how he stressed to tell us to be more creative, and that we shouldn’t blindly follow what media outlets like the ones on TV because we’re becoming like sheep. He argues that one with creativity best be prepared to endure loneliness and ridicule. He says, and this is very correct, that because of what we see on things like the media, we’re just told to follow what they say is right, and because of that, if one person dares to exclaim otherwise, then he or he will be getting cast away from other people. It’s ok to have a different opinion of things, and he encourages it, because creative people are going to be the most successful in life.…

In a world where the mind is its own unknown universe, it is no surprise that scientists, philosophers, scholars and the everyday person try to understand how the brain works. We try to utilize as much of the brain as possible to get through the day. At every moment of everyday, thousands of neurons bounce around that tell our body to breathe, to move, to create. Creativity is a topic that many people want to understand and have difficulty finding answers. “What makes a person more creative than me” is a common question we find ourselves asking. Some may say that the parents that played Beethoven and other classical music when their child was in the womb is a contributing factor. Others say that at a young age, they were put in arts programs whether it be dance, music lessons or art classes. Many believe that creativity has to do whether a person is right-handed or left-handed. Regardless of what people think, studies have shown that it is quite difficult to measure creativity levels between different individuals.…
