Early Friday Morning, in Verona, Italy death struck many, the heirs of Lord Capulet and Lord Montague, and a relative of Prince Escalus. The dead bodies of Romeo, Juliet, and Paris were discovered in Capulet’s monument/tomb. Witnesses stated the cause of death was two suicides and a homicide.
Lord Montague, Lord Capulet, Lady Capulet and Prince Escalus arrive along with the masters of the dead, Page and Balthasar. Friar Laurence confesses about the whole situation from the marriage of Romeo and Juliet to the plan for Romeo and Juliet to escape together. Here is a quote from him about the fake death of Juliet, “To rid her from this second marriage. She threatened to kill herself in my cell if I didn’t help her. Page’s master, Paris came only to place flowers on Juliet’s grave.
He saw Romeo, Page heard Paris say to Romeo “ To the dead bodies. I will apprehend him. Stop thy unhallowed toil, vile Montague!”. They fought and Romeo killed Paris. He was move to a grave in the monument by Romeo. Romeo’s servant, Balthasar told the news to Romeo about the fake death of Juliet.Romeo brought poison from the poor aportantcary. Balthasar was threatened with death and lied to by Romeo. He said ”But if thou, jealous, dost return to pry By heaven, I will tear thee joint by joint by”. Balthasar doubt his intentions so he hid
himself.
Prince says about the letter that Romeo wrote“ It describes the course of their love and mentions the news of her death. Here he writes that he bought poison from a poor pharmacist. He brought that poison with him to this vault to die and lie with Juliet. “ Friar was telling the truth about everything. Prince Escalus regrets not stepping in to put a stop to this feud, he says “Because I looked the other way when your feud flared up, I’ve lost several members of my family as well.” Prince lost Paris and Mercutio. He says everyone had been punished for this ongoing feud.
Lord Montague and Lord Capulet are in sorrow with the death of their love ones, for all their losses. Lord Montague says about Romeo death, “ It’s not right for a son to push past his father on his way to the grave.”. In a positive note the long feud between the Montagues and Capulets end as their heirs are married so they end the feud in hand. Lord Montague says “I’ll raise her statue in pure gold.” Lord Capulet says “The statue I will make of Romeo to lie beside his Juliet will be just as rich.”
