Brutus tells the crowd about how Caesar was courageous, but Antony makes them realize the punishment did not fit the crime for Caesar. Brutus uses an ethos statement to first try to get the people to see the situation from his point of view. He says, "As Caesar loved me. As he was fortunate. As he was valiant."
