Free Will The characters in the book of Genesis are widely recognized in many different religions, cultures, and societies. This is due to the interesting scenes that occur making others believe or question the truth in what is written. With many examples of how life began it also include great life lessons that people refer to today. One can look at and analyze the book of Genesis to be motiving, affecting, or fertilizing ideas. In the Bible’s Old Testament, in the book of Genesis God uses the concept of free will to demonstrate the consequences of the characters’ choices. God graces man with free will; the power to make decisions one one’s own rather than having God or fate predetermine what one would do. God gave Adam specific instructions on what not to do, but instead Adam and Eve disobey God. Adam and Eve fell into the pathway of disobedience that clouded their judgment; therefore, they had to face serious consequences.
