I crawl through our swampy home, in search of something to consume and fill my growling stomach. After perhaps an hour of stumbling around, I see a faint glow off somewhere else. Curious as to what causes such an illumination I venture forth in hopes that this light might offer me a sound way to find food. Now, approaching the light it’s clear to see that it’s a building holding my fetching lure. The building is large and made of wood. It would take Grendel quite some time to build such an architecture. As I crawl around the building I notice a crack with even more light seeking through, a door of some sorts.
“Oh what does Grendel make of this, what could possibly be behind such a great and mighty door?” Grendel speaks quietly to himself. Grendel steps through the entryway quietly. To his surprise he sees a plethora of smaller white beings, all lying on their sides. They seem to be quite vulnerable, sleeping it seems. Chewing and swallowing everything it had to offer, even the hands and feet. Grendel relishes at the taste of the small white being, but feels something odd build in him. Grendel suddenly seethes with anger and a bloodlust that would make any ravenous creature look docile in comparison. Grendel goes on a rampage, slaughtering every white thing he can possibly find.
This goes on from black-sky until light-sky, which Grendel is aware that she should leave before the other whites find him. At first thought he takes flight, but he stops himself. Grendel grabs a throng of men in one arm, and more in his other. As the earth-torch peeks out, Grendel has already returned to his lair. His mother is excited to see the bounty her son brings and feasts on the hearty meal. Grendel already feeling filled, is too busy thinking of what the next night may hold for
