Examples Of Hi Sheila's 'Fahrenheit'

Hi Sheila, good examples. When I first read your interval example I thought, yeah that makes sense, because Fahrenheit does not use zero to mean a complete absence of heat, or in other words it has no absolute zero. However, as I thought about it in relation to an oven, I started to think that even though it uses a Fahrenheit measurement, the oven itself does have a complete lack of heat when it’s off. Of course even when an oven is off, the temperature inside the oven is not completely lacking in heat, since it would likely be around room temperature. What do you think? Would the scale on a device like an oven, that creates heat when it’s on and does not when it’s off, be an interval or ratio? I’m conflicted, because degrees in Fahrenheit
