Some reasons why experiments were held was a.) to help the army, b.) to help Germany after the war, and c.) to prove the racial ideas invented by the Nazis. They were even used to test new drugs invented by German companies.…

The organization that I currently work for started with one home and now we have ventured out geographically and purchased two more homes in surrounding counties. This decision came after our marketing department realized that there was a need for more facilities that offered our type of care to the elderly. While there are other nursing homes in our surrounding area, there was specialized needs that the customer base had that none of the homes in our area offered.…
Jane Elliott who is a third-grade school teacher produced a video which showed she had set up a “Blue eyes, Brown eyes” experiment. The experiment was set up in order to teach the children all about racism so that they were able to understand how people are easily affected from it. She had decided that having a discussion about racism wouldn’t be enough for the children to fully understand what it was all about as they would forget about it straight away so she decided it would be best to show them by creating the “Blue eyes, Brown eyes” experiment which would then give them a clear understanding. Jane Elliott informed the children in her class that they were going to take part in an experiment and that things were going to be changed in the…
An influential person is someone who changes society, for better or for worse. Adolf Hitler changed world history for the worst and caused many, devastating tragedies, such as World War II and the Holocaust. The world was extremely affected by Hitler due to his powerful, brainwashing speeches; his persuasive book, Mein Kampf; and his ability to intimidate people.…
Authors, such as Hitler, use their talents in persuasive writing to convince their audience that they are the hero of the cause. Often, they use emotional language and appeal to disguise their true motives. Hitler capitalized on the German population’s desire for superiority by saying “It is not truth that matters, but victory”. This emotional display served as a facade to convince the German people that Hitler’s desires were the same as their own, making him a hero in their eyes. I believe that persuasive writing that is rooted in emotional appeal can be used as propaganda to convince an audience that the author is trustworthy.…
Hitler was a gifted orator who captivated many with his beating of the lectern and growling, emotional speech .One of the tactics used by Hitler was inspirational tactics. Hitler often praised Christian heritage, German Christian culture, and professed a belief in Jesus Christ. In his speeches and publications Hitler spoke of Christianity as a central motivation for his anti-Semitism. In Hitler's conception Jews were enemies of all civilization. So, in his public speeches, he influences others emotionally by stating that Jesus is a fighter against the Jews. He became adept at telling people what they wanted to hear for example, the Jewish-Marxist plot to conquer the world, and the betrayal of Germany in the Versailles treaty. By the reason of hatred on Jews, Hitler had killed thousands of Jews throughout his ruling.…
Words depict free will and choice; thus, it can influence an individual’s state of mind and manipulate those amongst them. Something that is dealt greatly within politics is freedom of speech. Words are usually treated as an anchor for power, in which they can be used to manipulate people surrounding them. From this, the result is usually paranoia or a change in perspective. “Can you see that this enemy has found its ways – its despicable ways – through our armor, and that clearly, I cannot stand up here alone and fight him?” (Zusak, 254). Quoted by Hitler in Max’s imagination (which is driven by his fear), it takes a stance on the different ideologies that are present, and describes how destroying certain ideas set one free from yet again, negative thoughts. “They came back and forth from a truck, and after three return trips, when the heap was reduced near the bottom, a small section of living material slipped from inside the ash.” (Zusak, 119). An open flame destroyed books during a burning, in relation to Jewish individuals, on Hitler’s twentieth birthday, as an act of celebration, but also hatred. It signified an act of expression towards the hatred for Jews, through the destruction of literature, something Liesel was able to…
This is done without the consideration that it is harming people under said control. Manipulation is a leading method of persuasion in Animal Farm through various threats, most commonly being, “Surely none of you wishes to see Jones back” (Orwell 21). Squealer loved telling the animals to keep them in line even when the saying made no sense in the context, simple fear mongering. Although Napoleon was an evil leader, Squealer was arguably worse in the way that he manipulated people and brainwashed them entirely. This is also prominent practice in cults in which people experience various manipulations such as, “constant repetition of doctrine, application of intense peer pressure, deprivation of sleep, lack of privacy and time for reflection, complete break with past life, [and] reduction of outside stimulation and influences” (Margery Wakefield).…
Hitler's Childhood Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889, in a small Austrian village called Braunau-am-Inn. Adlof was born a sickly child, his mother, Klara, watched over him night and day. Klara Hitler protected young Adolf from her short-tempered husband, Alois. Adolf grew into a thin, dark-haired, blue-eyed boy with an angular face (Twisted 63). At the age of 6, Hitler started school and showed excellent achievement in his classes. Outside of school young Hitler was energetic and had many friends. Adolf's home life was far less happy. His father ran the household like a military boot camp. When his father was in the same room as him, Adolf was not allowed to speak without permission. The first signs of Adolf's aggression showed up at the age of 7.…

One that is was necessary in the 70’s for this teacher to need to teach this lesson, but most of all how easily swayed these children were. They were so quick to demoralize their classmates, solely based on the fact the teacher told them they could. It is a reminder that children are most susceptible in their formative years. It also is a very important experiment as the use of children for social experiments is not very common, especially in a study like this. 2.…
