Many people are convicted of wrongful crimes that they never committed. This is due to bias, racism, and of course corruption. A total of 20,000 people are wrongfully accused of a crime they never committed. This is a number that should not be ignored. We need to explore the effects of this justice system and what influences the outcome of the cases.
One of the causes that influence the outcome of the case is bias. Bias is a prejudice in favor of an object or person. Many courts try to decrease the bias in the case, but 100% efficiency cannot be easily obtained. A huge example of this is that mothers are better parents than fathers. This is a common belief that many have come to accept. It is a huge factor to consider whenever a child's life is on the line.
