A trauma that epitomizes the negativity bias specifically, is one the victim experiences physical limitations, amputation, spinal impairment, or injury resulting in an inability to do what they are mental able to. For example, an amputee who once played football, but now is missing their arm. Or having
intelligent thoughts or ideas but never being able to communicate them. A healthy mind and an unhealthy body would make combatting the negativity bias very difficult. Especially if the person had the physical ability before the trauma. This trauma could leave someone obsessing over the disability, devastated from the crushed spirit, and not able to see passed the negatives.
