Racial stereotyping through media platforms such as TV shows, movies and graphic novels are major issues within our society.We have mentally embedded an image along with several profiling characteristics that supposedly represent different races all around the world. Characters on some of our favourite Tv shows are stereotyped to look like the nationality they represent. Cruel stereotypes such as ; all asians are mathematicians , White people are rich and black people live the lives of criminals.

Now what could possibly be wrong with that? It’s what came next that which left people all over the world disturbed. The young lady places a washing detergent pellet into the mouth of her acquaintance then forcefully thrusts the man into the washing machine. Seconds later a Chinese man emerges from machine to her jubilance the way that the two men are presented are completely different. The way the director has covered the black man in white paint emphasises on the messy and dirty concept, whereas the Chinese man is presented as clean through his unmarked appearance and difference in height. This is outraging, just because people of colour do not represent the desired image in China does not mean you can treat them diversely. We live in the 21st century China, access to technology so complex it can even manipulate the way we communicate with people, yet you still haven't learned how to show respect for humans who are dissimilar to you.
