This is important to me because knowing who you are is important. When the narrator says, “And mamma’s in the bedroom with the door closed.” I feel sorry for the girl. She is only fourteen and needs to be loved, she needs attention. The girl is living a tough life, she talks about how she doesn’t have anything to wear the next day.
The young girl says “what if I die?” and “will I live long enough to grow up?”. When I hear these things, it makes me feel awful. No child should have to say those things. The young girl is having difficulty with thinking positive. I couldn’t imagine being in her perspective.
“Nobody even stops to think about my side of it.”
