The Department of Health has described the methods for providing standard maternal and newborn care to the general population under Administrative Order No. 2009-0025 prescribing the new policies and protocol on essential newborn care bringing forth the Essential Intrapartum and Newborn Care (EINC) Program.

In line with this, we would like to inform you that Pfizer in cooperation with the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) through the MIMAROPA Health Research and Development Consortium (MHRDC) is conducting a simultaneous, region-wide study to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions adopted for the implementation of the EINC Program in MIMAROPA.

We hereby endorse Ms. Myra Roween C.Dasco, science aid from Mindoro State College of Agriculture and Technology (MinSCAT) who will visit Ma. Estrella General Hospital to observe and record the practices done in implementing EINC in your institution.
