Executive Summary

Cake Me Away is a start-up delicatessen retail establishment located in Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) Jakarta, a perfect place to relax and escape from all the Jakarta’s stresses such as traffic jam. With the growing demand for high-quality gourmet desserts and great service, it expects to catch the interest of a regular loyal customer base with its broad variety of cakes and desserts products. Cake Me Away aims to offer its high quality products at a competitive price to meet the demand of the middle-to-higher-income local and expatriate market, in the residences and offices in the area.

As a freshness-driven company, Cake Me Away is committed to provide the broad variety of cakes and desserts products which are made fresh everyday from high quality local or imported ingridients. Our products are low fat and free of genetically modified ingredients. It will also be complemented by a choice of fresh coffee, tea, chocolate, or smoothie.

We always operate within the Swiss-German standards. Our focus does not just end with producing scrumptious offerings but also aiming at presenting a pleasant and hygenic ambience, friendly and attentive staff, and precise timing with delivery and opening hours.

We have plans to expand the company through further retail outlets and are focused on developing a business model that is favorable to franchise possibilities. We have identified four main keys to our success. The first is to secure stores in highly visible locations. The second will be our unique value-for-money product line. The third will be a focus on superior customer service and education, and the fourth key will be employee retention through training and internal promotion.

Cake Me Away will target three market segments. Our largest target market is young adults and business people (42%). Our next largest market, and the one with the greatest growth potential, is families with children (36%), and our final target market
