Probation Officer Fran Hennessey Criminal Justice Major was not my first option; in fact I never even considered criminal justice. I was an undeclared freshman who hated school and was thinking about dropping out to work in the union. The only reason I went to college was because I received basketball scholarships to many schools and I wanted to continue the sport I loved to play. Talking to my family about this they obviously did not want me to drop out and they wanted me to continue school and get a diploma. These kids get of probation and are put right back into the environment that got them in trouble, so they end up right back in trouble. Fran has a kid who is on probation for stabbing someone during a fight. Now when I first heard about this was shocked he was on probation, but there was no proof that he stabbed the kid.
