Exemplification Essay: Green Bay Packers Super Bowl
Everybody has their favorite team, unless they don’t watch football of course. My favorite teams happens to be the Green Bay Packers. The last time they won the Super Bowl was 2011. The main reason why I like this team the most is because of their offense. One thing I like about their offense is their quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. He has made incredible plays in his career. An example is when he threw a hail mary, which is a straight deep throw, for sixty-one yards to make the game winning score with zero seconds left. That game was important because it was a playoff game against the Detroit Lions. It was either go big or go home. If the Packers lost, their season would have ended. Aaron Rodgers has made a similar play, right after winning against

The Super Bowl is considered the game of the year for many Americans. The Bears have appeared in two Super Bowls, victorious in 1985 and defeated in 2006(NFL). This demonstrates that this team has the potential to reach the Super Bowl soon. In addition, a division title is the best award a team can earn from its own division, and the Bears have earned them, three times in the past decade. “NFC North Division Championships: 2005, 2006, 2010”(NFL). The Minnesota Vikings may not have gone to the Super Bowl before, but that doesn’t mean they are one of the worst teams in the NFL football league. In fact, each season they are improving to greater their chance in the Super Bowl. The Minnesota Vikings had a strong streak this past year by closing out at week five as the only undefeated team left in the NFL. Even fewer people would have predicated this after the quarter back Teddy Bridgewater went down with a devastating knee injury. Regardless, of their scoring drive, the Minnesota Vikings are an outstanding team because of the head coach Mike Zimmer, offensive coordinator Norv Turner, and great receiving depth.…

You might think about parties, half time shows, or even commercials, but did you know that the Super Bowl trophy is named after Vince Lombardi? Today I am going to take you on a journey of why Coach Lombardi was a Visionary Leader. He took the worst team in the league and turned them into champions by using his methodical patterns by going above and beyond to know all aspects of his football team. He watched every play and analyzed each player to know their strengths and weaknesses. Next, he used inspirational motivation to get buy-in from his players, coaches, and fans based on his vision to win. Furthermore, I will discuss how he was an Ethical Leader. There has been much debate over which sports team is the most successful in the United States. Many teams have had their moment in the spotlight. They rise in popularity only to plummet the following year. Right now the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants are the talk of the entire sports world, but give it a few months and everyone outside of the New York Metropolitan area will forget who even won the game. That is how it is with most champions in professional sports. Fewer than 20 percent of Americans know that the Mavericks are the reigning professional basketball champions or that the Cardinals won the most recent World Series. Though these teams have had great success their fan base is mostly local. They have not established a national following. Over the past 50 years the Dallas Cowboys have used a great winning tradition, slick marketing, and modern merchandising techniques to establish themselves as “America’s Team.”…

In the Fall of 2010, I watched my first televised football game from beginning to end. I sat down beside my older brother, Nick, and watched him as he analyzed every play of a Green Bay Packers game. He would scream at the tv when a bad play happened but would rejoice when a good one followed. I wanted to be just like him and know everything about football. I watched every game that season and annoyingly asked Nick every question that came to mind throughout the year. On February 6th, 2011 the Green Bay Packers won their 4th Superbowl title and I knew football like the back of my hand. After the game my brother said to me, “There’s no way you could ever not be a Packers fan now. You’re their good luck charm.” as I nodded, smiling ear to ear.…

My favorite player of all time in the NFL is Ray Lewis, he plays defensive linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens. Ray Lewis is a franchise player for the Baltimore Ravens and is entering his sixteenth year in the NFL because of his effort to be the best he can be. While, I play the same position as Ray Lewis and I try to put in the same effort he does to become a great player. Although I am trying to pursue an NFL career and become a legend just like Ray Lewis it takes hard work and dedication to become the best you can be. My favorite motivation quote from Ray Lewis is "You might be bigger, faster, stronger, and better than me, but you are not going to outwork me, because I won't let you". Unlike other players, Ray Lewis is great role model to play the game and he continues to play the game with his heart instead of…

Football is a very fun sport that invalves tackling, pushing, and hitting. Most of the time football is fun just from playing ruff (tackling, pushing, hitting). Kids who play football are always to play games like bull in the ring and oklahoma drills which are very contact drills, and so is football. Now, coaches are thinking about having a limited number of hits in practice. But most players disagree with that statement because football is all about hitting. If they use limited number of hits, then they will take away the fun out of football.…

Many people I know have learned many life lessons while playing the sport of football. Vince Lombardi, the Green Bay Packers former coach, has a quote that no sports editorial can disagree with. I survive by this quote every single day of my life. The quote says “Football is a great deal like life in that it teaches that work, sacrifice, perseverance, competitive drive, selflessness and respect for authority is the price that each and every one of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.” - Vince Lombardi…
