On the one side, nobosy can deny the fact that exercise regularly and moderately bebefits us a lot. First, Exercise controls weight. Exercise can help prevent excess weight gain or help maintain weight loss. When you engage in physical activity, you burn calories. The more intense the activity, the more calories you burn. People involved in exercise always have fit and slim bodies. Second, Exercise improves mood. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed. You may also feel better about your appearance and yourself when you exercise regularly, which can boost your confidence and improve your self-esteem. Third, Exercise boosts energy. Regular physical activity can improve your muscle strength and boost your endurance. Exercise and physical activity deliver oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and help your cardiovascular system work more efficiently. Last but not least, Exercise combats bad health conditions and diseases. No matter what your current weight, being active boosts high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or bad cholesterol and decreases unhealthy triglycerides. Exercise keeps your blood flowing smoothly, which decreases your risk of cardiovascular diseases. In fact, regular physical activity can help you prevent or manage a wide range of health problems and concerns, including stroke, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, depression, certain types of cancer, arthritis and falls.
On the other side, the supporters of the idea that exercising also has its drawbacks are right to some extent. First of all, Too much exercise can be harmful. Without proper rest, the chance of stroke or other circulation problems increases, and muscle tissue may develop slowly. Extremely intense, long-term cardiovascular exercise, as can be seen in athletes, who train for multiple marathons, has been associated with scarring of the heart and heart rhythm abnormalities. Secondly, irregular exercise is also a popular problem. Many young people involve in exercise just to lose weigh and get a sexy body instead of getting a good health. With a short-term and unclear goal, they easily geat bored and do exercising irregularly of maybe quit it. Stopping excessive exercise suddenly can also create a change in mood. Feelings of depression and agitation can occur when withdrawal from the natural endorphins produced by exercise occurs. Moreover, after a long time, when they begin to exercise again, if they somehow work out too much, it also causes to some heart problems as well. Finally, vitamins, minerals and iron loss during execise is an unseen threat for health. Great evidences show that people may lose some vitamin and iron after taking exercise. It results in vitamin and iron loss through a variety of mechanisms. Some iron, as well as vitamin E is lost in sweat, and, for unknown reasons, intense endurance exercise is sometimes associated with bleeding of the digestive system which causes a great amount of loss. As vitamin and iron play important roles in our body, the loss of them could cause sick or some serious diseases.
In short, exercise itself is not harmful. It is dangerous or not just base on the way we do it. As an old saying goes, the urge to destroy is also a creative one, so next time when doing exercise, it is better to reconsider how to do it and look for some professional advices.

“Ships at a distance have every man’s wish on board. For some they come in with the tide. For others they sail forever on the horizon, never out of sight, never landing until the Watcher turns his eyes away in resignation, his dreams mocked to death by Time. That is the life of men. Now, women forget all those things they don’t want to remember, and remember everything they don’t want to forget. The dream is the truth. Then they act and do things accordingly.”(1)…

Democratic values are the fundamental beliefs that founded the United States and represent the core of America. Throughout history, many reform movements sought to expand these strong values that represent the unity among Americans through “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” The magnification of these principles can be especially seen through the time period of 1825-1850, where much change was beginning to occur. While all of these reforms sought to expand the democratic ideals, only certain movements succeeded and presented the deserved freedom of rights to all. Movements involving religion, juvenile institutions, and women’s rights supported and expanded upon these ideals while other aspects such as temperance and utopianism failed to offer the true meaning.…

Numerous studies showed that a daily routine of exercise made people live longer lives, had healthier bodies, and were in a more positive psychological state than the people who did not perform exercise as part of their lifestyle. Majority of my family members were overweight and I witnessed many psychological effects that took a toll on their bodies and interfered with their work routine and also their social life. On the other hand, when I reached a certain age in my life, I knew that I did not want to have the health problems some of my family members did and decided to make exercise part of my daily routine to decrease the negative psychological effects that it could have had on myself. Many people used the excuse; I do not have time for exercise or I didn’t have any money for a gym membership. To me, this was just an excuse because anyone can take thirty minutes a day and go for a walk through the park or jog through the neighborhood, which cost no money at all. “Research demonstrated that individuals who exercised with others, that involved virtual reality stimulation, or getting feedback aimed at improved self efficiency and enjoyment, greater increase in stress reduction, mood, and well-being, and reduced anxiety and depression” (Plante 1).…

From the perspective of six pillars of character, if I were Cindie, I would be honest with Lyndell and tell him what’s been bothering me. Hopefully, by keeping quiet about him leaving early, he will feel that I’m trustworthy enough to tell me his problems, whether it’s drinking or any other problems he is facing in his life. I might be able to help him or at least come up with some ideas to help him. I will also respect him more if he can open up to me and is willing to fix his problems. If he continues to leave early, I would have no choice but to report this situation to the store manager because I would feel responsible if something bad happens to the store while I was on duty alone. Apparently, Lyndell is not a responsible person because he leaves work early and makes Cindie do part of his job. Cindie is responsible because even though it got really busy when 10 Japanese customers came in at the same time one night, she rushed through and was able to satisfy the customers’ needs. It is not fair to Cindie that she has to close up by herself and often work the late shift just because she is the “new kid on the block” (Mintz & Morris, 2011). Everybody should be treated equally (Mintz & Morris, 2011).…
