Exercise Analysis
3 Day Exercise Analysis
When looking at the current state of my exercise habits consists of walking at least 2 miles a day and jog 2 miles, stretches, and 30 minutes of deep cardio. I like to get up in the morning and start off with my stretching so that I do not become sore later on in the day, and it helps relax me and get me ready for my day. I like to stretch for at least 15-20 minutes every morning and stretching also helps with waking me up as well. After I get done with my stretches I will then go for a 1 mile walk to start and then jog for 20 miles, and then I will slow down the last mile and walk to cool down, and when I do it like this I feel as if I am more energized than I am on a pot of coffee. When I get back from my walk/jog I then get on the gazelle for 10 minutes total but then again I divide the time by having a warm up set amount of time of 5 minutes and a cool down set of time of 5 minutes as well. This helps to keep a good balance and does not overdue the heart while staying healthy and fit.
With doing the tracker, eating a low calorie diet, and exercising the way I was doing I found that I can lose up to 1,200 calories a day for a 3 day period which is a total of 3,900 calories as long as my calorie intake is 500 or lower. Now, what I have found out about my activity level over the past 3 days is that I do need to not try and do so much in one day period because your body builds a tolerance to doing the same things every day. So what I decided to do was to keep up my morning stretches because this is not just getting your body ready for some exercising but it also helps to keep the body from pulling or straining a muscle while doing your daily routine. I did decide to walk and jog my 4 miles on different days than when I do my gazelle because I do walk a lot during the day and both of these is are different types of cardio.
My weekly goal each week on my physical activity is to make sure that I do at least 20-30 minutes of good cardio to keep me the energy, and strength that I need every day in order for me to stay feeling healthy inside and out. I do see myself further on to start adding more different little exercises like sit ups, and scrunches in my weekly goal so that I can stay more fit as well as healthy.
I really do not feel that it is necessary for me to change anything else in my daily routine that might help to increase the amount of energy expended. The reason that I feel this way is because I have a very well routine that really works for me and it helps me to just know that I am doing my body well by doing this same routine, and that if I stop it I will start to cause damage to my body and health.
I do have to say that I can do the walking, jogging, stretches, sit ups, and other physical activities all year round, but I do know that there are going to be stipulations when the weather changes that will put a damper on the walking and jogging part of my exercise. I do not handle the cold well and so that part of my regular exercise routine will have to change. The way that I will substitute for that is that I will walk on a treadmill. Even though I could just use the treadmill anytime I find it more energetic and relaxing to get out of the house and get that fresh air, and the thrill of the jog. I can also walk in place but I believe that can get a bit frustrating to do because it is even hard for me to use the treadmill.

My morning workout on February 16 started off with 10 minutes of spinning for the cardio part of my workout, followed by an abs workout consisting of sit-ups, leg raises, crunches, ins-and-outs, twists, oblique v-ups and heels-to-the-heavens. After I transitioned to the upper body part of my workout, where I used gym equipment for bench presses, shoulder presses, halfway and full curls, standing tricep extensions, and shoulder kettle bell presses in addition to pushups and tricep dips. These three sets were repeated another two times before finishing off my workout with a cool down and a stretch. The workout left me feeling energized, awake, happy and strong. I chose to try doing a mindfulness exercise every morning for twenty-one days in order to see the effects it would have. A few years ago I was really good about consistently doing a mindful exercise every morning and I remembered it having a positive effect. Based on my past experiences I decided to give it another try. At the end of the twenty-one days, I found there was a heavy decrease in stress, my memory was improved slightly, emotions were more level, and my mind was sharper or more focused. The stress or anxiety levels decreasing as well as emotions being level is a very common effect people find with practicing mindfulness, “ In one study, participants randomly assigned to an eight-week mindfulness-based stress reduction…
