Experience of Shopping on the Web Versus Shopping in a Traditional Manner
The product that I will choose to discuss about the experience of shopping on the Web versus shopping in a traditional manner is Dell laptop which can be purchased through the official website of Dell or by using traditional manner through retailer shop. For example, the House of Notebook retailer shop that sells original Dell merchandise.

By using the traditional manner to purchase a laptop from Dell, there are some disadvantages and advantages compared to purchase via website. Using traditional method, I will have to carry out survey on the product of Dell laptop which might take a long period of time doing so. For example, I will have to spend my time doing survey on newspaper, magazine articles and catalogs just to get information about laptops. By just referring on one newspaper or magazine, that will definitely be insufficient. Thus I will have to spend money and time to get few more magazines and newspaper in order to gather sufficient information about the product. Other than gathering information from newspapers or magazines, I can directly contact Dell centre to obtain the latest information on Dell products. This can be easy for customer like me because I need not need to waste my time on newspaper or magazines. But sometimes, false information and misinterpretation might occur through telephone call. The employee might provide insufficient amount of information to the customer and sometimes customers tend to misinterpret the information. A fine example would be the price of the laptop and the model of the laptop given by the employee. Furthermore, telephone call is not the best medium to gather information as it is impossible for a Dell employee to provide all the information about the products of Dell because that might require a long time to do so.

After gathering information on the laptop that I will most likely purchase, I will have to spend my time visiting the one and only retailer shop in my town which is quite a distance from my house. In

I have two different experiences with the Dell Company as I have two products from Dell one is a basic laptop with a good configuration and the other high end gaming laptop Alienware. The technical support and the other customer support for both the product varies more though they are from same company. The Alienware form Dell is costly when compared to its Dell basic version laptops. The technical service for Alienware met the exceeding expectations whereas the service for normal laptops is just met the expectations the difference I found was the wait time is very high whenever I call for technical assistance for my basic laptop other hand the same company provides good quality service for its high end gaming laptops. Overall I still wanted to go with Dell products as they have long…

It seems that many of us are discovering a new and more convenient way of shopping, and this would be online. Online shopping has become a major way of making purchases today, and it seems to offer everything that your local department, grocery, or drug store does, only with more convenience. On the other hand, there are those “Die-Hard” shoppers who would rather pound the pavement and deal with the hustle and bustle of the crowds, either because of habit or tradition. The “Brick-and-Mortar” shoppers are the most common folk, who wouldn’t have it any other way, because to them there’s just something about personally choosing the items that they are purchasing. The online shopper seems to be less particular, when it comes to online shopping; you have to have a certain amount of faith in certain web sites when buying anything from items for the home to clothing. Online vs. Brick-and-Mortar shopping seem to be two ways of doing the same thing.…

In this essay I am going to be exploring two artefacts and discussing the relationships between them, considering the meanings behind them, the time and context. The first artefact I have chosen to explore is ‘Turquoise Marilyn’, which is Acrylic and Silkscreen on Linen created by Andy Warhol, 1964. The second artefact is ‘For the Love of God’, which is platinum cast of a human skull, studded with over 8500 diamonds, created by Damien Hirst, 2007. While I think these two artifacts offer multiple topics of interesting similarities I want to focus on the impact that society, technological developments, economic factors and formal innovations had on the artists. The main question I want to draw on in the essay on is how both of the artefacts raised questions at the times they were made because they both were so new and challenged previous styles and why the artists did this.…
