Experiment #
Title

Student Name:
Student Number:
Section Number: 0103
TA: Stephen Ho
Date the experiment were performed:
Date the lab report was submitted:

Introduction: (Ideally, one pages, maximum 2 pages) * Background information (one paragraph) * Purpose of the experiment (Should be stated in few sentences) * Theory (One to two paragraph), including chemical reaction equation
Experimental: (1-2 pages) * Still need to mention that the procedure was adapted from the lab manual. * Briefly summarize the procedure of your experiment * Label different parts of experiment * 3rd person view, past tense and passive voice * Write in paragraph, NOT in point form
Results:
* Same as your informal lab report * Present ALL of the major results, NO raw data * Use text to guide reader * Tables and figures * You need to plot a calibration curve and write an appropriated caption, The sample Figure (Figure 1) and its caption give you idea what you need to write for the calibration curve.

* Here is the sample calibration curve
Figure 1. Sample calibration curve of standard Fluorescence solutions, average absorbance against concentration of standards. The concentration range of standard used was from 4.984x10-9 to 49.84ppm. The best fit line was determined by Regression analysis in Microsoft® Excel. The equation of best fit was y=0.1255 x +0.3353, the slope was 0.1255 V/ppm and the y intercept was 0.3353 V. The R2 value was 0.965.
I want to see the following information in your caption: * Title of your figure * Concentration range * Equation of best fit, and R2 * The slope and y-intercept of best fit (with unit)
For the format of the plot * No frame * No any fill color * Label axis and unit, keep it as sample as possible, just like the sample calibration curve
Calculations:
- same as your informal lab report
- Only show me one sample calculation, if you repeat the

References: * Lab manual for your procedure, format refer to your lab manual * Also you can refer to your textbook * Format can be websit format or ACS(American Chemical Society) format 1. Eg:T, Radhakrishnan. CHM 110H5 Chemical Principles 1; University of Toronto Mississauga. 2013; pp 27-33. * Use this reference as your reference for your Lab Manual * When you use any information that is not your works, PLEASE ADD A REFERENCE (Data sheet attached to your lab report, staple the data sheet on back of report.) Acknowledgement: (Add this session if you borrow data from other students, make sure to write all of the name here in order to prevent plagiarism) Special thanks to ??? from Section ??? for lending data on???.

We placed the zinc inside the beaker and slowly poured the hydrochloric acid into the beaker. As soon as the acid entered the beaker, there was a sizzling sound and bubbles started to form as we add more of the substance in. When the bubbles were forming, we could see a steam of gas coming out of the beaker. After 10 minutes, we noticed bits of zinc were floating on top of the hydrochloric acid and lining the beaker. I lifted the beaker and felt the bottom and it felt warm, which meant the reaction was still happening. After 20 minutes, we added water into the zinc and hydrochloric acid to stop the reaction and we observed a slight cloudy colour (still clear) forming as we slowly pour the water in the beaker.…

Background & theory: In this experiment, the relationship between volumetric flow rate and percentages of valve opening is determined by knowing that volumetric of flow rate of air through the flow meter is proportional to the square root of the differential head across the manometer. Graph of volumetric flow rate (%) vs valve opening (%) can be plotted from the relationship Q α √∆P where in this case becomes Q α √∆h where Q is the volumetric flow rate and √∆h is the square root of the differential height of manometer. By plotting this graph for globe and gate valve, different trend can be observed and frictional losses can be analysed.…

A common emitter amplifier is one of three basic single-stage bipolar-junction-transistor (BJT) amplifier topologies, typically used as a voltage amplifier. In this circuit the base terminal of the transistor serves as the input, the collector is the output, and the emitter is common to both. The input signal to a CE amplifier is applied across the base-emitter junction of the device. The output from this circuit is taken from the collector terminal of the transistor. Since the emitter is connected to the ground, it is common to signals, input and output. The CE amplifier is one of the most commonly used BIT amplifier configurations.…
