Explain How Actions Speak Louder Than Words
Actions speak louder than words. This is one aphorism that every person has heard as a child, but are actions really louder? Actions scream compared to spoken words because people can say anything they want and put forth no effort; after all, words are just words. Many people say they have multiple friends, but do they really? The Merriam-Webster Dictionary states that the definition of a friend is, “a person who has a strong liking for and trust in another person; a person who helps or supports something.” It is easy for a person to say that they trust another and that they care for them; however, if that person isn’t there for the other in his or her time of need, are they really a friend? Most people could count the amount of individuals that have proven to them by their actions that they are truly their friend on a single hand. This doesn’t mean that they are a bad person; it just illustrates that they want people to believe they are something they are not. It does no good to deceive others, because eventually the lies will catch up to the culprit. There are many indicators of drug-using, but that doesn’t keep users from saying they have never used drugs. Even though they may be a good person, they are not only known as a drug user, but also a liar. Their actions speak much louder than their words do, causing many people to stay away and avoid having them in their lives. Actions can really show one’s true colors because they cannot be as easily manipulated as

People tend to not think about the effects of their actions or words; however, both can have a profound effect on others. Words can be twisted, but actions remain the same forever. In my experience, the majority of individuals do not understand how deeply others are affected by their words and actions. Actions, as with words, cannot be taken back: therefore, favorably utilizing them is important, since they can both change another person’s trust. Actions and words are both powerful tools in the human toolbox; however, actions are louder than words, since actions cannot be altered.…

Actions can be more powerful than words because, you can say you are going to do something but don't do it, and another way actions can be more powerful is that you can say something to someone and it not bother them , but when you do something to them it can have a bigger impact on their life. Actions are more powerful because, you can say your are going to do something but don't do it, like when this one kid said he was going to beat up my friend , but he ended up not doing it, or like when this guy owed me money and he said he was going to pay me back but he didn’t. Another reason why actions can be more powerful than words is that you can say something to someone and it not have an impact on them, like someone can say they love you…

The word friend means exactly what it is, just a word. The pure substance behind the word no longer bares any true meaning and feeling behind it. I have learned to limit the use of the word and can only call a select few a true friend. Growing up I thought I was popular because I had so many friends. However little did I know that instead of calling these people friends, I should have substituted the word for acquaintances, or in the future outlook of it all, maybe even enemies. A friend is supposed to be there for you through thick and thin. Friends stick by your side no matter what and have your best interest in hand. There for, these people I considered friends, were not my friends, but bad influences.…

“Actions speak louder than words” is an old proverb with a deep hidden meaning inside. If looked through, it is clear that deeds can show more than what you say as not deliberately they give a true picture of one’s intentions. An action defines a person as people act upon their values. Action can also reveal a person’s desire, motivation and meanings. You can say a thing a million times but unless you show it, it cannot be proved.…
