Explain How Can Hitler Happen Again?
Can Hitler Happen Again? “Everything changed very quickly in 1933,” says a survivor of the Holocaust. Suzan Strauss was a twelve year old girl when the Holocaust began. Adolf Hitler, was a very powerful man. He killed 6 million Jews, worked them to death. Hitler hated Jews, he irrationally blamed them for Germany’s defeat in world war I (1914-1918). It happened to a high school in California in April 1967, by a history teacher who was teaching them about Hitler and discipline. The teacher and the students took it way to far. There are many hate groups around the world that can easily grow bigger and could take power. There is also hate going around our high schools, they are rising farther up the pyramid of hate day by day. Hitler can and could happen again with just a simple small hate group or action. A simple history class experiment turned into something much larger just like what Hitler did. In April 1967 in a California high school a history teacher with the name of Ben Ross showed his students a video of Hitler and what he had done. When the video was over the students were very upset and had many questions. Soon he came up with an experiment that the …show more content…
For example the information would spread fast because of the technology that we have these days. The U.N. was hired to help make sure this genocide act would not act again. Although this may be true anyone could get a small group and keep it small and lowkey. Even with our technology the hate group could keep it small and quiet and no one would no about it. So the UN would have no clue until they had enough power to take over. A big reason people like to do this is they like having all of the control and power over everyone. Especially if people have hurt them they want to get back at them and make sure they feel the pain that they did. Another reason is that people can just hate a group for a really small reason and they take it way too

The Holocaust is perhaps one of the most gruesome events that has ever taken place. Adolf Hitler was the mastermind behind the systematic, bureaucratic, and barbaric persecution that murdered six million Jews for no reason. When he became leader he had only one mission and that was to have an exceptional race and he would do everything to achieve it. The Nazis who came into power in Germany in January 1933, believed that Germans were racially superior and that the Jews were inferior and posed as a threat to the German community. Adolf and his “loyal” followers managed to instill fear in many Jews causing many to flee to safer havens. Other that weren’t as lucky fell into the hands of that Nazi regime. Those Jews that were persecuted and captured…

This essay even though it was written in 1974 is still used today because of its historical importance. The experiment attempts to figure out why the Nazi's followed Hitler. Even though what he told them to do was morally wrong and they did it anyway. If this essay can help figure out why Hitler was able to do what he was then able to do, then maybe psychologists can figure out how to prevent something like that from happening again.…

We’ve all heard of what happened to Germany in the early 1900’s. They were involved in a war with several other countries, their economy was mere to shreds, and the people began losing hope. However, the worst thing to hit Germany in the 1900’s was the holocaust, ran by Adolf Hitler himself. Anyone can tell you what Adolf Hitler did to most of the population of Germany, and some can even explain to you a personal encounter of the horrors that he manifested. Although most of the population can do this, can they tell you how he got into that situation in the first place? Can they describe how Adolf Hitler and thousands of other Nazi soldiers held supreme power over a country? Can they tell you who’s fault it was? Maybe not, but I know for a fact…

"I certainly think that another Holocaust can happen again. It did already occur; think of Cambodia, Rwanda, and Bosnia" -Miep Gies. Genocide is killing a mass group of people in a certain group. For these reasons, a genocide could happen again today. An event the magnitude of the Holocaust could happen again because people in this world can just hate a certain group or religion and decide to commit a mass murder just because he hates that group or religion.…

The Nazi party came to power in 1933. From that day forward their main focus was the complete destruction of the Jewish population. By 1945 approximately two out of every three European Jews had been killed. The Nazis called the extermination of the Jews the Final Solution. Though their main focus was on the Jews, Nazis also persecuted other groups. Other groups they persecuted were gypsies, the mentally and physically disabled, Slavic people, communists, socialists, Jehovah's witnesses, and homosexuals. There are some groups around the world today that say that the holocaust never happened. I do not see how anybody could think that when there are videos and pictures from Nazi camps, but the important thing is that we do not let people forget about the holocaust. The reason we study history at all is to be prepared for the future because the past usually repeats itself. Well we cannot let anything like the holocaust ever happen again. People who know about the holocaust have to tell other people about it and how important it is to remember the horrors that happened to people. It was the worst period of time ever recorded for mankind and if we let people forget about it than it will happen again.…

One reason why Hitler went to war was to regain the Honor of Germany which he thought they had lost after their defeat in World War 1. Hitler believed that Germany never lost World War 1 and that the Jews were too blame for the loss but really Hitler used the Jews as a scapegoat for a reason to start another war and regain the strength of Germany. The Jews were never really to blame for the loss of World War 1 it was the bad management of the German army and insufficient funds to carry on with the war, Hitler knew this but he also knew that the blaming of the Jews for Germany’s current economic state and the Loss of the Great War.…

According to Hitler and his writings, he truly believed he was doing the work of God. On April 12, 1922, Adolf Hitler said the following “My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth!” Adolf Hitler believed that since he was a supposedly a Christian, he was able to kill the Jewish citizens because of “what they did to Jesus.”…

The Holocaust is one of the most remembered tragedies in history. It is unfathomable to presume that another human being was capable of causing such terror and horror to millions. The tragedy is widely known and recognized for those who were victims of Hitler and his depraved mind. Yet, one doesn’t know that the world is gradually resurrecting the horrors of this catastrophic event. It is possible for a Holocaust to recur once again and will continue to be a threat, so long as there are people who use others religion as a mechanism of hate, ignorance, and live in fear and vulnerability.…

Teaching the Holocaust and World War II and Hitler's rise to power is an extremely debatable topic for schools because of how violent and gruesome it truly was. A prime example is the gas chambers in which millions of Jews were murdered, which prompts some schools to drop related lessons in fear that the topic will offend students of Jewish descent. The problem is that the Holocaust needs to be taught or history may be doomed to repeat itself. The difficulty is when to teach it and how much to show; absolutely everything, nothing at all or even just teaching it without showing the intensely violent parts in pictures.…

German children were taught that they were superior to the Jews through school textbooks. “Hitler’s ‘final solution’ of genocide of all European Jews began by shaping the beliefs of children through the reading of assigned texts in which Jews are portrayed in a series of increasingly negative scenarios” (Zimbardo 1). This created a perception of Jews as an inferior, dirty race that plagued Germany. This image translated into the idea that the murder of the Jews was good for Germany, and morally inconsequential because the Jewish people were unfit to live. By introducing these ideals at a young age, the Nazis were able to cultivate a group of people with virtually no empathy for the Jews. The Nazis also utilized propaganda to portray the Jews as dangerous public enemies. “With public fear notched up and enemy threat imminent, reasonable people act irrationally, independent people act in mindless conformity, and peaceful people act as warriors” (Zimbardo 3). The citizens of Germany were subjected to images of the Jews as “the enemy” on posters, magazines, newspapers, and television. This altered the German citizens’ perception of Jews, and created public fear and hatred. The Jews were depicted as a threat to German ideals, and thereby justified their destruction. Dehumanization through school textbooks and propaganda can instill apathy in humans,…
