Explain How High Humidity Put A Great Level Of Strain On The Circulatory System
Increased humidity put a great level of strain on the circulatory system. Humidity makes our bodies feel as if the temperature is higher. This is the result of a slower evaporation process because the air is filled with water and cannot hold much more. As a result, our bodies will produce sweat in order to cool off, but it will take longer to evaporate making the body only hotter and wet with sweat. An increase in temperature & humidity would mean a greater cardiac output to the skin to remove heat from the body. Conversely, this decreases the oxygenated blood being sent to the muscles . Once the body is introduced to heat stress due to the high humidity levels; the heart rate increases and the heart pumps more blood to the skin so it can sweat
