Food Safety (General food hygiene)
The main aim of this policy is to prevent food poisoning. To do this food areas must be kept clean and must maintain good personal hygiene, food must be cooked properly and stored in the right temperature.
The policy and procedure of the nursery is that all staff handling food must maintain very high hygiene and people who are ill must not handle food. The policy also requires that food be stored at the right temperature.

The policies can be influenced to the health and safety for the nursery school because of their food safety of what they are and how they are met to keep the food standard of the personal hygiene are maintained. These can also Referent to the food safety because some people may be religious for example like Muslim they are not allowed to eat ham and they have to inform the parent if they are allowed to eat ham or they are not.
There are some types of food they have to give the kid so they have to ask the parent the information before they give the kid the types of food. Also they have to keep the food safe from everyone for some people who are suffering from an infection like a vomiting and diarrhoea should not have any dealing with food preparation until they have been free of the symptoms for some hours.
