Safe - The Safe classification means an anomaly is understood to a reliable and necessary extent and will not activate their effects unless activated on purpose (i.e testing). An anomaly would be classified as Safe when it is fully researched and the effects and powers of it is contained and understood, meaning it should pose no direct threat or danger.
Euclid - The Euclid classification means that an anomaly is not yet understood to a necessary point and/or unpredictable, but does not show such a Keter-qualified threat. Most anomalies that are contained by the Foundation are classified as Euclid until they are researched, tested, and understood enough. …show more content…
Even testing and researching is very difficult for Keter classed anomalies. These anomalies are usually considered the most dangerous ones in all of the Foundation’s containment, and most efforts towards research goes towards it. An anomaly would be classified as such if its effects show outrageous harm towards mankind, and is a risk to be contained. Luckily, the Keter classification isn’t very often to come around on.
2] What the two sub-classifications mean and why something would be classified as such.
Neutralized - The Neutralized sub-classification means that an anomaly has been -intentionally or accidentally- destroyed, and/or doesn’t show anomalous effects any longer. A anomaly would be classified a such if one of the above has happened to it, it has been destroyed and/or doesn’t show anomalous effects any longer.
Explained - The Explained sub-classification means that an anomaly has been completely understood and its effects are fully understood by science, or is in public knowledge that containment is not achievable. An anomaly would be classified as Explained once it has been throughly researched for a respectable amount of time that its effects and it itself is fully and completely understood, and/or is in public knowledge, and the Foundation is unable to contain
