1. Protection of children Act 1999, the Act organised a register of names of all individuals who are not allowed to work with children. Organisations providing care for children are required to check the
Criminal Records Bureau of anyone looking to work with them before offering the job or any volunteering position.
2. Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006, Apart from having a Criminal Record check, this Act covers wider organisations like junior football clubs and any adult working with vulnerable adults not to be left unsupervised especially if they have not been checked.
3. Childcare Act 2006, this Act combines the welfare standards which all organisations
registered to work with children under the age of 8 must follow and also provide a learning framework for children between 0-5 called Early Years Foundation Stage.
