The first few years of life is the most critical time for the brain to develop. Research has shown that play and learning experiences have helped build connections in the brain called neural pathways, play is one of the ways that children interact with others. Social interaction helps children develop confidence and problem solving and thinking skills. A child’s development can be slowed of delayed if they do not play and this may have impact further on in life.
