Main stages of a child or young persons development.
Children and young people’s development from birth to 19 consist of three main aspects of development. • Physical development. • Communication and intellectual development. • Social, emotional and behavioural development.
Physical Development
Children need to master a lot of different types of movements as they grow and these can be broken down into three further categories which consist of gross motor movements or otherwise known as large movements, for example being able to control head, arms and legs.
