Explain Why Florida Is My Favorite Spot To Vacation
Florida is My Favorite Spot to Vacation
There are so many places to go and things to do. Although there is only one place I enjoy the most. A place where it gets really warm. A place to have fun with your family because of all the fun attractions. Lastly a place I have made memories. That place is Florida. Florida is my favorite spot to vacation. Florida gets really warm, but that is what I like about Florida. I have done activities there that I can’t do in Michigan. For example, I can’t swim in a ocean every day in Michigan. I can only do that in Florida. Also one time we went to Florida for Easter and I went swimming everyday. I can’t do that in Michigan. That Easter I was swimming in a pool while my house in Michigan was covered in snow. I didn’t even know it snowed until I went back to school and I heard that it had snowed while I was in Florida. During that same trip we went to the beach and I looked for seashells and cool rocks in the sand with me, my

There are so many fun attractions. The attractions I went to are Disney World, Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Medieval Times. At Disney World when I went I got a charm bracelet and I did the penny machine where it flattens the penny and at the end of the day when it got really dark we got to see a parade at the end. We also got to go on rides and play at the play area. At Sea World we got to see lots of cool shows. There was dolphin shows, pet shows, killer whale shows, and bird shows. We also got to ride some rides there. At Busch Gardens there were lots of rides and activities to do with the family and there was also restuarants there that we ate lunch at. Lastly at Medieval Times, which is a dinner show, after every scene the waiters would add another dish and a drink to everyone there’s plate. There was also knights fighting on horses. Once in awhile they would roses and threw them to the audience if they had there hands up, and I caught

To begin, Florida known as “the sunshine state” hooks you in as soon as you enter the state. The beautiful palm trees blowing in the wind, the numerous orange groves you see from the roadside and the welcome center offering fresh squeezed orange juice makes you feel so at home. There are so many beautiful exotic looking flowers in the landscaping of homes and businesses. Of course, the warmer climate is the main attraction in Florida. The annual average high is 79F degrees and the average low is 57F degrees. Snow rarely falls in most of Florida, but has on occasion in the northern peninsula. Florida also has an abundant annual rainfall especially during the months of June through September. In addition, Florida is located between the Atlantic Ocean and The Gulf of Mexico, therefore it also has exceptionally high humidity and of course there is always a chance of hurricanes as well. Undoubtedly, both of these items are a major downfall to me.…

Despite the several hurricanes that have occurred in Florida the past couple years, I think it's safe to say that Florida can also be a pleasant place to live. With its mostly sunny weather, friendly disposition, and many exciting attractions, Florida almost doesn't seem like the type of place to have such horrific weather at times. I, personally, even after knowing so many good qualities about the sunshine state, still am not convinced that Florida would be a nice place to live.…

    Hawaii vs Florida Living

Weather is often a deciding factor when choosing where you want to live. Florida is well known for being the sunshine state. While living there I was in a pair of flip flops and shorts all summer, although at times it is unbearably hot and humid with highs in the 90’s! In the winter there would be lows in the 40’s! In Hawaii, however, temperatures are consistent throughout the year ranging from the mid 70’s – 80’s. The winter in Hawaii is considered rainy season but rarely has thunderstorms, unlike Florida, where they are frequent. Florida is referred to as the thunderstorm capitol of the US. These storms often generate tornadoes. (Henthorn, 2010, p.5) Weather may be a deciding factor in where you choose to live, but you will also have to consider that each state has natural disasters and this can greatly influence your decision on where to live.…

My family takes a trip to the same place about every two summers. The ride isn't always fun to get there because it is 2 and a half hours away. The trip is in Philadelphia Mississippi, where we go to Geyser Falls water park. It is always hot, a cool breeze, water slides, pools, birds, food, and many people. My family really enjoy going to the water park during the summer. We usually take about 3 days of vacation.…

It all started with this very simple question, “Do you want to move to Florida?” When my mom had asked that, we had just came back from our spring break vacation in Florida. We lived in Kentucky and my siblings and I went to St. Albert, I was in fifth grade. Of course when my mom said that my whole family thought it was a joke, so we all had said sure to the idea. About a week later, I forgot about the question, so after school one day my parents had told me and my siblings they had a surprise for us. Little did I know that we were actually moving to Florida.…

In the summer before 9th grade, things were not going great for my family and me, things in school had been very bad, and things at home and out of school were even worse. At the end of July my mother and I, were looking to go on a trip, to get our minds off of everything that had happened in the past year. We threw ideas around, like going to Vermont, Maine, Pennsylvania, and other nearby states to go sightseeing in. We had almost decided on going to Hershey, Pennsylvania, to go to the amusement park, and see other attractions for a few days, but while looking I saw an advertisement for Universal in Florida. I started looking at plane tickets, hotels, and rental cars. We found an awesome deal, and we booked it. I went to go talk to my friend Chris, on Facebook to tell him I was going, as a joke he said, “Take me too!” I told my mom what he said, she laughed and said “Why not?” I told him to convince his parents because we were leaving in 2 days. It took him a full day, but Wednesday night Chris and his mom showed up to my house with his bags packed ready to go to Florida.…

The reason that this vacation was so fun was probably the first vacation that my brother was not annoying me. That and just all the stuff that there was to do there were the main reasons. They had good water slides, good arcade games, and their own miniature golf course. This vacation was different from all the other ones because I brought my own video games since I knew that my mom and dad would go to a lot of bars and play pool while I stayed in the room. Luckily, my dad never found out about me doing that.…
