Explain Why I Want To Be A Catholic Essay
Being a Catholic, we as a community welcome all to our religion. But being a Catholic can be difficult. Not only because we have things such as the commandments and the beatitudes to follow, but to live a life like Jesus. I, as a Catholic, am not the best example of one and doesn’t live like how a Catholic should be living. But I do wanna better myself as a Catholic. I plan to live out the Ten Commandments fully as a Catholic, which is my goal to help better myself as a Catholic and as a person. With the Ten commandments they can help guide me along the way and lead me to a better path. The Ten Commandments can also make lead me to making better choices. Thank you so much for all that you have provided me and for giving me a chance in this life. Thank you for giving me all these wonderful people around me. Even though everyone does sin, except for Mary, please forgive them for the sins including myself. Please help those in need of food, clothing, and shelter receive all their needed necessities. Please help me to better myself such as having more respect towards my mother and father as well as my older brothers. Give me strength to focus on my studies more and to have a more positive outlook on life and to not judge others for their appearance and to be like Mother Teresa, “If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” Thank you God for everything that you have given me, I thank you so much. …show more content…
As Jesus said in one of his teachings, “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a] 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[b] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[c]There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:28-31.
