Why is it Important to Stay Hydrated?
5% drop in water level can cause up to 30% loss of energy in a body. So, are you drinking enough water to stay hydrated? The minimum water requirement of a human body is 1 to 1.5 litres every day. Our bones are composed of more than 20% water. Maximum body parts need water for some or the other process. If the body does not get enough water as it requires, it becomes dehydrated and causes a lot of issues.
We will see the importance of staying hydrated:
1. Improves physical activity:
When you are into physical activity, body loses water. So, to keep yourself hydrated intake of water and watery fruits both are equally important. You should drink water before exercise, during and after exercise.

But do all of them work? Most probably, no. but water works miracle. Proper hydration can help you lose weight. Saying that dieting doesn’t help won’t be wrong but intake of water while on diet will give better results as per a study. According to a survey, 500 ml of water before their three daily meals for almost 10-12 weeks lost 5 more pounds.

3. Positive mood:
A study says people who drank less water were found more irritated, calm less and sleepless than those who had two to four litres each day. Staying hydrated will keep you less confused, energetic and full of positive emotions.

4. Enhances brainpower:
Drinking a lot of water will also increase intellectual performance. When you are, worried or confused with a task, drink water. Or when your boss overloads you with work or you are working overtime, drink water at some interval of time.

5. Prevent headaches:
Water loss or lack of water in body can cause headaches and sometimes a severe one. Rehydration can bring your body back to normal and headache may decrease. Every time taking medicines is not good, try drinking water this time.

    Dehydration is when your body has lost too many fluids. Water is one of the most important nutrients to our body; the human body is from 55 percent to about 78 percent of water. The average person loses water consistently by doing everyday activities and sweating, breathing and eliminating waste. Water removes toxins and waste products from the body and puts nutrients into the body. Dehydration affects many people for many different reasons. Water has a HUGE effect on people when it comes to dehydration and other health issues. From what I see, the average person does not drink near enough water on a daily basis. Why is that? Well I believe it is because there are other fluids out there that taste better, so why drink water? We are all aware that water is healthy for us, but naturally we choose to drink stuff that taste better. Well there are plenty reasons to why you should drink water. For example, water fights off illnesses; water is an important nutrient to the immune system. Water is also important to help digest food and get rid of waste. Water also helps the skin look and stay healthy, staying hydrated keeps all the toxins away and keeps the skin from drying out and you feeling better! When you drink water you are actually helping your heart too, water helps thin blood and pump the heart which means that your heart is working less and will have fewer heart problems. Water has many important functions to the body. For example, water regulates the body’s temperature, lubricates the joints in the body, helps prevent constipation, and reduces the load on kidneys and liver by flushing out the waste products.
