Avoid using harsh soaps – Your baby's skin is sensitive at this point which means that the soaps that you are using, especially the ones that you use too, may be a bit harsh on their skin. Even though you are using soaps that are formulated for babies, you still need to be vigilant when it comes to the ingredients used as they may have chemicals or artificial scent in them that can trigger dryness on your baby's skin.
2. Provide protection – It doesn't matter what the weather is like outside your home, it is your responsibility to keep your baby protected. If you are going out during the summer, make sure that you cover them with a hat and apply lotion from time to time especially when you'll be out on the beach. Sea salt, dry wind, and the sun can wreak havoc on their skin. On the other hand, if the weather is cold, make sure that your baby is buttoned up to protect their skin from the biting wind.
3. Don't bathe too long – It is understandable that you would like your baby to be squeaky clean, but spending too much in the water with all that soap can actually make your baby's skin dry up especially when you are using hot water. Experts recommend that you limit your baby's bath time to ten minutes for now so as not to eliminate the natural oils on their skin. Yes, there are times when your baby wants to play in the tub. Just don't add water as of yet so your baby can have some play time with you. Add the warm water
