Ok well there’s allot of reasons why it’s important to be on time not just for the army but allot of other situations in the real world that have curtain effects that could become consequential to you and sometimes to others as well not only that but in some cases even deadly ,a word always comes to mind when talking about being on time and that is punctuality punctuality is the characteristic of being able to complete a required task or fulfill an obligation before or at a previously-designated time. It’s the same with the army there is an unspoken understanding that everyone has to be there 10 minutes prior at their destination if some on says to be some were. also In some cultures being late is a huge sine of disrespect ,its like saying there time isn’t valuable like there not important ,but like in some cases everyone knows to be on time for a plane because you know if your late you miss that flight then you would have to wait for the next available flight out (which has happened to me for not planning ahead and not being on time) it’s the same with doctors appointments if you miss the appointment then you’ll have to wait for the person that was on time to get finished with his turn and might make you late for something else such as missing your daughters or sons game or resettle being late can sometimes has a domino effect on your whole day just because you wanted to watch 30 more minutes of that game instead of heading to work.
